A Late Georgian Figured Rosewood Box C 1830, with radial brass edges and flush side handles, the rectangular brass plate is engraved with the initials J.M.M. and there is a matching key escutcheon. The unfitted interior is lined with royal purple velvet, and has ruched work in the lid. The lock is in good working order, even retaining its original key.
