This Post Box, which was probably created for an Edwardian hotel or club reception area, or possibly the entrance hall of a grand London residence. It is made of solid mahogany & inlaid with boxwood stringing and satinwood banding. The radial front features a large glazed door with original working lock. The floor of the interior is covered with burgundy morocco leather. The Telegrams drawer has a brass knob with an attractive concentric circles design, and features a divided interior, lined with same morocco leather as the box interior. There is also space for directories on each side.
