A small Victorian Oak Post Letters Box in good original condition and of excellent colour. The roof is pyramidal over three levels, and the posting slot is shuttered, The box retains the original notice of posting times behind glass in the door, the lock of which is in good working order. These domestic letter Boxes usually stood in the in the entrance halls of wealthy homes, and were emptied twice daily by a footman, who would take the letters to the Post Office.
