*The Clan Hamilton, also occasionally referred to as the House of Hamilton, is a Lowland Scottish Clan whose is motto is 'Through'. Its crest is described as 'In a ducal cornet an oak tree fructed and penetrated transversely in the main stem by a frame saw Proper, the frame Or'.
I have been unable to identify to which Hamilton member the initials C.E.A.W.H refer.
