A rare early 18th century Walnut Strong Box with heavy fleur-de-lys brass straps and side handles. The lock is accessed by sliding downwards a brass button and releasing the latch. The lid is raised and front panel drops down revealing the velvet lined interior, and a drawer below with a campaign brass handle.
