A Victorian radial edged Oak Stationery Cabinet, originally purchased from this exclusive department Store. Features include a substantial stationery compartment, a white board writing slate, a calendar caddy containing a complete set of replacement cards and a rolled gold watch with a swiss lever movement in good working order, plus a pair of enamelled screw crown top ink bottles. The cabinet retains the original four morocco leather clad markers for the 'accounts & receipts'& 'Answered & Unanswered'compartments, as well as four additional matching markers stamped with Parkins & Gotto's name and address. The full sized fitted drawer, with a brass campaign handle, is secured by means of a brass rod.
There is a secret hidden compartment at the rear of the cabinet for folders, files etc. Items are easily accessed by removing the calendar/watch caddy, and lifting out the frame below by its side handles.
The Bramah lock is in good working order.
