A 20th Century Governmental Hardwood Despatch Box, covered in black grained leathercloth, with a rear brass handle and a four lever lock with two keys. The lid is stamped SECRETARY R.A.I. (The Royal Anthropological Institute) with the initials D.F.R. The black leathercloth interior has raised sides and locating studs for rigidity.
