An extremely rare parchment certificate of knight bachelor granted to SIR HENRY CONNOR, together with a round tin inside which is a large ceramic seal depicting the Queen Empress on her throne on one side, and seated on a horse on the other, all contained in a red leather clad box by Wickwar, Poland Street, London. The lid of the box bears The Royal Coat of Arms of the British Empire, tooled in gold. Working lock with key.
Sir Henry Connor had a distinguished career, eventually becoming Natal Chief Justice. He died in 1890.
