A Fine Early 20th Century Red Leather Despatch Box, the bevelled top embossed with King Edward VII’s cypher, and a recessed brass handle. There is also another handle at the rear so that the box can be carried as a brief case. The black leather lined interior features raised sides and the the maker’s name & address on the front rim. The pair of studs on the right rim were there to hold a label with the destination details so there would be no need for the courier to open the box while in transit.
The Bramah lock and key are in good working order
