W & J Milne Makers 126 Princes St. Edinburgh
An Early 20th Century Pebble Grained Leather Documents Box by this eminent maker/retailer, the top bordered with inpressed decoration and a brass handle and with initials W.M.L. in gothic lettering.
Interior features the following items in excellent condition:
- Matching blotting folder inside the green velvet lined lid
- A removable fitted caddy containing a removable pen tray
- An a green enamelled screw-top with gilt royal crown and lettered 'Patent London'.
- A leather clad 'Lights' box still containing a quantity of wax vestas.
The lock is in good working order.
The maker's embossed name & address appears on the back of the box, in the front of the caddy and inside the blotter.
