A Victorian Red Morocco Leather Despatch Box C1870, the bevelled top with central leather handle is embossed with the initials VR flanking Queen Victoria's crown and with the title 'THE CHIEF JUSTICE'. Also with a silvered ring carrying handle on one side. The working Bramah lock retains its original key. The interior is original with its raised sides and original emerald green velvet lining and is in good condition.
