A Mid 20th century Red QEII Governmental Despatch Box, the chamfered top stamped with the royal insignia of Queen Elizabeth II, and 'Minister of State, Foreign Office'. The brass swing handle is situated at the rear of the box and the Chubb five lever lock is stamped 'Makers to King George V' & numbered D-6005 It retains its original key. Please see final image. The black lined interior features raised sides and stability studs.
