A Red Morocco Leather Governmental Despatch Box with George V's royal insignia and 'FOREIGN OFFICE' embossed in the bevelled top. The date of issue 1922 is stamped in the rear above the brass swan neck handle. The black lined interior has raised sides and is fitted with stability studs. The five lever Detector lock was probably made by Chubb, and the key is a replacement.
