An exceptionally fine Early 19th Century Mahogany Book Rest, Reading Stand with two doors opening to give wide support to large tomes, and adjusting to numerous heights, the deckled sill hinges follow the contours of the bottom of the doors. The whole piece is constructed of solid mahogany with substantial brass fittings.
