Gerald Mathias has specialised in 19th century wooden and leather boxes for more than 45 years, particularly focusing on despatch and investiture boxes.

He spent 25 years trading at Chelsea’s well-known Antiquarius on Kings Road, London from 1980 to 2006, where he gained a loyal band of discerning customers – both trade buyers and private collectors. More recently he relocated to The Old Cinema in Chiswick, West London and dealt there until 2016.
