An Edwardian Black Leather Governmental Despatch Box with a swing brass handle at rear and a working Chubb six lever Detector lock. The Royal Insignia of Edward VII is stamped in the centre of the lid with the initials C.D.C. The black leather lined interior has raised sides and locating pins for stability.
