A 19th Century Double Cased Black Leather Documents and Despatch Box. The inner case with leather handle, plum velvet lining, lock & key. The outer box in tooled leather with brass swing handle, Bramah lock & original key, and matching plum velvet lining. It has done its job well by protecting the documents box, which is in excellent condition, and in so doing has suffered a certain amount of battering, but remaining sound, and locks well.
