A Victorian Green Leather Despatch Box C1850 the top mounted with its original swing handle (re-polished), and impressed with Queen Victoria's Royal Cipher and the name of the original owner SIR GEORGE GREY*, below which is stamped 'COLONIAL DEPARTMENT', the name of the department is also impressed on the rear. The green Velvet lined interior has raised sides, the Bramah lock has its original key.
