An Early 20th Century Mahogany Book Rest or Music and Reading Stand of triptych form, adjusting to three different heights. The fronts of the doors are inlaid with box /ebony stringing, and hinge open to form three times the width. The serpentine ledge support is hinged, and when the stand is closed flat it forms a jigsaw fit with the doors.
