An early 19th Century Figured Rosewood Card Caddy C 1820 with slatted sides, curved top and a pierced central handle. It is a tribute to the great craftsmanship of the maker that this piece has survived for more than 200 years in this superb condition, having been made with Rosewood of just 3.5 mm thick for the sides, and 2.5 mm thick for the centre division, and weighing just 160 grams..
