A particularly deep Victorian Black Leather Dispatch Box by this eminent maker with Bramah patent lock & key, and having a large central carrying handle.
The maker's name & addresses are stamped on either side of the lock, and, additionally engraved on the lock itself.
The interior lid is stamped in gold with a roundel, surmounted by the Royal Crown, containing the initials A.B.C. surrounded by - DESPATCH BOX - BY ROYAL LETTERS PATENT.
PATENT A.B.C. DESPATCH BOX. is stamped between the hinges.
