A rare Georgian Cuban Mahogany Apothecary's Cabinet formed as a Spice Cupboard with heavy brass side handles, the interior consisting of eight small drawers & two double width drawers, all with sliding tops, many of them containing the original powders & roots. The eight top drawers on each side are false sliding fascias, behind which are eleven bottles, some retaining their original labels & liquids. Below the bottles on the right are two double drawers, each fitted with nine small glass cups. On the left side the bottom sliding fascia conceals a drawer fitted with four glass & four ceramic cups. The ceramic mortar & pestle, and the brass scales & weights are contained in the complementing drawer on the opposite side.

Two sliding panels on the back of the box conceal, on one side, five bottles with labels, and on the other, four taller bottles with original labels, three of them still sealed. The rear panels are automatically locked when the cabinet is closed.

All the bottles are in good condition with only minor chips here and there.

The lock is in good working order.
