An Edwardian Red Leather Bound Parliamentary Dispatch Box stamped on the top 'CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND' 'IRISH OFFICE'with Edward VII's royal insignia in the centre. The number 11 appears in the front of the lid above the lock. A brass swing carrying handle is affixed to the back, and the box is secured with a Bramah lock & key. The interior is black leather lined with with a trellis of leather strips inside the lid.
