An interesting Victorian Black Morocco Leather Despatch box issued by Her Majesty's Stationery office for use by the Scottish Treasury. The lid with a central brass recessed carrying handle & stamped TREASURY LETTERS with the Royal Crown stamped above the handle, and Queen Victoria's cypher below. The manufacturers details are tooled in gold on either side of the Bramah lock, which retains its original key.
