A Small Black Leatherette covered Despatch Box,the chamfered top stamped in gold with the Royal Crown above E 11 R and M.O.D. (Ministry of Defence) (Army Department) & numbered 18 on both sides & the lid. The substantial brass swing handle allows it to be carried lengthways. The interior is leatherette lined, and there is a brass stabiliser on the right. The six lever lock is stamped Chubb, London and has two keys with a brass Chubb escutcheon.
