A Mid Victorian Burgundy Leather Jewellery Box by this distinguished maker, the tooled top opening on Wells & Lambe's patented partly concealed hinges and the Bramah Patent lock with three keep apertures with its original key. An interesting feature of the lock is a hidden button which activates the lid to spring up when the box is closed, but unlocked. When the box is locked the button will not function.
The box retains its original wine velvet interior with raised sides.
