An Edwardian Red Grained Leather Despatch Box with a handle at the rear, the top stamped with the royal crown above Edward VII's monogram with the initials E.R.I... Edwardus, Rex, Imperator... Edward, King, Emperor. The lid raises on a full length hinge and held at 90° by a pair of brass quadrants. The black leather lined interior features raised sides and stability studs. The Bramah Patent lock has been fully restored and a hand-made Bramah style key supplied.
