An Early 19th Century Black Leather Despatch Box with central recessed brass handle, the slightly domed top embossed with The British Empire Coat of Arms and stamped 'THE GOVERNMENT OF HONG KONG'*. The black leather lined interior with raised sides, diamond trellis leather strips inside the lid, and stabilising studs. The Chubb Detector lock numbered 1045687 has been restored and the correct key made.
