The burgundy Morocco leather writing surface is original & in remarkably good condition, and it is framed by very fine quality gold tooling.
The pair of green enamelled crown top ink bottles have always belonged to this box.
A panel below the upper flap is released by means of a hidden catch revealing three secret drawers.
