A George V Red Morocco Leather Parliamentary Despatch Box, the bevelled & Tooled top with the royal insignia in gilt on black, and the titles 'LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD ', 'PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY ' in gilt lettering on black labels. The bronze swing handle is conveniently at the rear. The the black leather lined interior has raised sides, stabilising studs, and and a trellis of leather strips inside the lid. The maker's name and details are embossed in gold on either side of the lock, which is stamped Bramah, London, and retains its original key, plus a spare.
