An 18" Victorian Black Leather Covered Despatch Box with a central brass swing handle and Bramah lock & key, gold stamped with Queen Victoria's Royal Insignia, and The Royal Sanitary Commission, which was held at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 1869, attended by of Russell Gurney M.P.* who was member of Parliament for Southampton at that time, and the original owner of this box.
